It’s a Boy for John Legend and Chrissy Teigen

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen have welcomed their fourth child together!

Teigen announced the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday, 28 June – per the heartfelt post, little Wren Alexander Stephens was born via a surrogate nine days ago.

“Just minutes before midnight on June 19th,” she wrote, “I got to witness the most beautiful woman, my friend, our surrogate, give birth amidst a bit of chaos, but with strength and pure joy and love.”

After a failed pregnancy in 2020, the cookbook author and her husband approached a surrogacy agency the following year. There, they met Alexandra, from whom Wren’s middle name is taken, and who would carry the baby boy to full term.

“We want to say thank you for this incredible gift you have given us, Alexandra,” Teigen gushed. “And we are so happy to tell the world he is here, with a name forever connected to you.”

Wren joins siblings Luna (7), Miles (5), and five-month-old Esti, who was born back in January.
